Ski instruction at Tromsø Alpinpark
Better technique – more joy on skis
Personal ski instruction for every level, from your first turns to off‑piste and powder. We tailor the session to you and your goals.
Tired of burning legs on every run?
We can help with that.
Good ski technique is about steering your skis effortlessly and efficiently. When it clicks, you feel it right away: more stability, more confidence and more energy left in your legs. Maybe you want to float through powder, carve clean turns on hard snow, get more power in your turns or ski more playfully.
No two skiers are alike, so we tailor every session to you. Our teaching builds on the Norwegian friluftsliv tradition, where exploring, trying and failing are at the heart of learning. The goal isn’t just for you to learn the right technique, but to feel the difference yourself.

Get ready for the mountains
We train technique for variable snow – crust, wind-packed snow, powder and spring snow – skiing off‑piste and skiing with a pack. We only leave the groomed slopes when avalanche conditions and terrain allow it.
Want to learn to plan and assess your own tours too? Our avalanche course gives you the tools.

Terms for ski instruction
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the session. Open the sections below for details.
Cancellation
Cancel at least 72 hours before the session and you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel later or don’t show up, the full price is charged. Cancellations must be made in writing by email, and the date we receive your message determines which deadline applies.
Group sessions
If people in the group cancel and only one person is left, we’ll run the session as planned at the group price. The cancellation rules above apply to those who cancel.
Late arrival
If you arrive late, the session still ends at the booked time.
If we cancel
If we have to cancel because of weather, avalanche conditions, closed lifts or illness, you’ll be offered a new date or a full refund. We don’t cover lift passes, travel or other expenses you’ve had.
Changes during the session
The instructor may change and adapt the session if conditions require it, for example by staying on groomed slopes instead of skiing off-piste. This does not entitle you to a refund. These decisions are always made with safety in mind.
Liability and safety
Participation is at your own risk. Skiing always involves some risk, especially off the groomed slopes. You must follow the instructor’s directions and tell us about any health conditions or medication that may matter. The instructor may turn away participants who lack the necessary equipment, such as a helmet or avalanche gear for off-piste, or who can’t take part safely.
Insurance
Insurance is not included. Check that your travel or accident insurance covers skiing, including off-piste.
